I m trying to import the pdf floor plans to autocad 2018 via the importpdf command but it keeps saying that there are no objects in the pdf file.

Launch chief architect and open a new plan.
Select the desired resolution.
Drag a pdf file from a file location on your local drive into the model view.
In the import pdf dialog that appears next verify the preview looks correct and choose whether to import just the current page associated with the pdf file select pages or all pages into your plan.

Once done click ok to import the pdf.

You can select a desired template or create floor plan in desired shape by adding wall points or using drawing tools line rectangle circle etc.
