I was wondering if i should get a cheap peace of plywood and put it on that or if it didn t really matter.
Is it bad to leave your computer on the carpet.
Or a book under both sides letting it hover above the carpet.
If you must leave it like this try placing a book under the end of it to keep the heat from building up.
Its really not that bad.
A bad carpet cleaning job can leave your carpet worse off than it was to begin with.
I have my own carpet cleaning machine so i don t need to hire a professional.
Most laptops generate and vent heat through the bottoms of the units.
Unless you leave it in the middle of.
I can vacume around my computer that way i can have my psu be facing down because i vacume nearly 3 4 times a week.
Although having your own machine is useful for small stains and routine cleaning most home machines don t have the suction power professional machines do.
And if you have a window in the case you can admire the computer while your game loads.
I slid a piece of cardboard under there and it was fine.
Thanks for all your opinions in this thread.
How bad is it to have your pc on carpet l.
Your computer would be at the most risk of static damage when you place it on the carpet move it on the carpet or pick it up off the carpet.
An ex girlfriend of mine kept her computer right on the floor and when we moved from it hardwood floors to carpet her computer literally would not start while sitting on the carpet.
Sure you can it s fine.
It s bad even if air doesn t flow into or out of the case here however if your pc sinks into the carpet a bit heat can build up underneath due to the lack of airflow.
Keeping the pc will leave it less exposed to dust that gathers on the floor this is a bigger problem if you have a carpet.
Lol my computer is on a carpet dont worry about as long as you open it up once a year or so and clean dust its will be alrite.
And your computer well it s a giant vacuum cleaner.
Can you put a pc tower on carpet.
There s a science to balancing airflow through.
Leaving it just on the carpet is safe but not recommended.
